Change in Food Protection Manager Certification Announced
Beginning on November 1, 2016, the state will no longer be issuing its own Wisconsin Certified Food Manager certificates which required a $10 fee. After Nov 1st, managers at food establishments will only need to successfully pass an approved national food manager's exam like ServSafe and post that certificate to be in compliance. WRA advocated for this change which will simplify the certification process.

The Wisconsin Bone Marrow or Organ Donation Leave Act
This state laws required all employers with 50 or more permanent employees to allow up to six weeks leave in a 12-month period for serving as a bone marrow or organ donor.
