| Students
are hired for internships by qualified food service operations.
They receive firsthand training and worksite mentors. In the classroom,
lessons and activities are used to help students make real-world
connections. Practical, lively learning takes place both on the
job and in the classroom.
A ProStart college prep program accomplishes
the following:
- Increases industry involvement through mentors
and sponsors
- Strengthens educator-industry
partnerships
- Attracts quality students
to hospitality industry careers
- Allows students to participate in relevant work
experiences while meeting the needs of the industry
