Teach
Educators range from family & consumer sciences instructors to chefs who transitioned into the classroom. They see first-hand the positive impacts of ProStart.
ProStart Educators:
- Instruct on hospitality business and food preparation, in conjunction with real-world experience, to provide lifelong skills
- Use the ProStart curriculum to integrate projects and hands-on food preparation activities
- Work with instructional materials used for Wisconsin DPI’s Skill Standards for Food Service
- Join in educator training and professional development opportunities
- Share information on program participation to increase favorable exposure with students, community and state
- Participate in the ProStart college-track program, which heightens department esteem

ProStart mentors are industry professionals directly involved with training the next generation of employees. Essentially, building the future of the hospitality industry.
ProStart Mentors:
- Provide an enthusiastic workforce with real-world experience
- Enhance supervisory skills while giving interns insight and feedback
- Help the interns to complete the Workplace Competency Checklist
- Compensate interns at a competitive wage while observing state and local labor regulations
