Smoke-free began July 5th
3 steps to comply with the new statewide law

  1. Post at least one (1) no smoking sign in your establishment.

WRA has provided a printer-friendly version that meets state requirements.  Click here to open a printable PDF.

  2. Remove ashtrays from indoor areas.

To meet state requirements, businesses should remove evidence indicating that smoking is allowed indoors.  It is recommended that ashtrays be kept in outdoor patios or in storage rooms.

  3. Inform smoking customers that your business is smoke-free indoors.

For additional information and frequently-asked questions, read the Wisconsin Restaurateur article “The ins and outs of Wisconsin’s new smoke-free law.”
